Knock it Off!
The trend for updating kitchens and bathrooms is still going
strong. In the process of having old counter tops ripped out and new counter
tops delightfully put in their place, walls get a bit marred. If those walls
had wallpaper, the wallpaper definitely won’t survive. Faux finishing can be
the perfect solution. Which is just what I did for this client. They loved the
mottled golden gleam of the wall-covering. Using that as the guide, a faux
finish was painted recreating the pattern and shine. The remaining wallpaper
was ripped off and a new ”knock-off “ faux finish painted on.
