Graduating to Higher Education

I love the giddy feeling of being in a library. The massive collection of thoughts and experiences written down to be shared and discovered make you feel positively giddy. There no limitations, the possibilities are endless. The library is also the heart of the schools. Lehigh Middle School ( http://lhm.leeschools.net/ ) requested a mural reflecting their goal for the students to aim on to higher education and to be socially and emotionally prepared for their journey ahead.

Mural Painting: Florida Middle School Part 1: Hallways

Children are our most precious asset, resource, and joy! I recently had the honor of painting for Lehigh Acres Middle School. http://lhm.leeschools.net/  The school’s mission “is to prepare all students for academic success and responsible citizenship by inculcating and encouraging in them a love for lifelong learning; and build a commitment to positive, moral decision-making.” 

The school utilizes the Avid program (http://www.avid.org/ ) with WICOR methodology http://avid.org/dl/hed/hed_reviewofliterature.pdf  and the Leader In Me ( http://www.theleaderinme.org/the-7-habits-for-kids ) program to give the students the tools to reach their college and life goals.
