Wine "Cellar" Improves with Age

Wine "Cellar"  Improves with Age
Wine improves with age or, in this case, the wine cellar does. The wine cellar is a luxury room in our affluent neighborhoods. As a faux artist and muralist, I’m often asked to create wall finishes in these much-cherished quarters. Wine enthusiasts lavish time and money on their collections and want the cellar walls themselves to show just as much love. This is especially true for the walls that are either in view due to the clear glass doors that allow a peek at the treasures beyond or walls that encompass a seating area to enjoy a glass of wine. A home owners quite “view-able” wine cellar recently required having the ceiling are lifted and new air control put in. These changes, of course effected the walls, which in turn effected the wall finish. Ah, the never-ending challenge of faux artists- to come behind another artist no longer in the area or business and having to duplicate without knowing what product was used or what formula was mixed. Challenge accepted! The end result; beautiful. In fact, even better than before. I like to think it is due to my artistic skills... but I’ll share that glory with the additional wine racks added.
