Double Take

Double Take

Hurricane Ian did so much damage to SW Florida that a year later we’re still putting the pieces back together. Once roofs are repaired and walls rebuilt they of course have to repainted. That includes previously faux painted surfaces of walls and ceilings. This is the time the homeowner may decide to go with a completely new look or as in today’s case have the faux finish look repeated since it suits the home or room so well. Fortunately, the homeowner was wise and had a record of the colors used. You’d be amazed how many people have no idea what was used in their own home. Always ask your artist what colors were used and keep records of it. You never know when it will comes in handy.

To recreate the look : Base color is OC-8 in satin finish. Second step was a 50/50 glaze mix of a scanned color ( almost a deep brown mushroom ). Third step was to re-
glaze with a 505/50 glaze mix of Modern Master Silver Metallic.
