Snow in Florida
To say it’s been hot
this year would be a massive understatement. Here in SW Florida, we’ve hovered
in the mid to upper 90’s in what feels like forever. Then you add the heat
index ( side note: I feel truly sorry for the person advising on that ) and it
puts into the 100s with overheating warnings. Our humidity can be suffocating
and in my opinion it feels like a million degrees. But it’s still paradise here
and we never have to shovel snow. Although in the past few weeks I’ve had
several people declare they would welcome snow.
As a muralist in Florida chances are slim to ever get the chance to paint a snow scene. I was thrilled when this wolf mural scene was requested because it was a snow scene! Yep snow right here in Florida. It was fun to paint and even better; it was indoors. So that meant painting in glorious air conditioning! ( My God bless the man who invented air conditioning! )
