Palm Sunday
Today is “Palm Sunday”.
Not in the Biblical sense but because today’s art blog is dedicated to one of
Southwest Florida’s favorite motifs- the Palm Tree. I’ve had the pleasure of
painting these beautiful tropical icons both indoors and outdoors. Granted, painted
palm trees don’t produce edible fruits such as coconuts (my favorite), dates,
or acacia. On the other hand, you never have to water them or be concerned about
a cold snap. Here’s a look at the most recent additions of palm tree murals for
my client’s personal vacation get- away spots on their own lanais:
