Florida by way of Wisconsin
Everyone wants to
live in Florida! Sun, sand, cocktails by the pool…..OK, occasionally we have
tropical storms (like this morning) but for the majority of the year we have
perfect weather. So it’s no wonder that our glorious state is everyone’s dream
location for vacation or retirement. A couple recently retired from Wisconsin -the
Badger State and Diary Capital of the U.S. and moved here to the Sunshine State ( and OK,OK,OK -we’re the lightning capital of the U.S.) but we’re also the leader
in sugarcane crops! So you can thank Florida every time you have desert. Anyway,
back to their new Florida home. The goal was to merge the arriving furnishings
from Wisconsin to a tropical palette interior springing from their love of colorful and mermaid art pieces:
Master bedroom
becomes a tropical oasis:
The
theme continues into the master bath now with new cabinetry and fixtures:
A plant shelf over
hang and boxed in fluorescent lighting over kitchen cabinets has been removed
making the kitchen and living now open, spacious, and perfect for entertaining:

Even
the garage floor received a specialty paint treatment:
A raised base was
created to lift the washer and dryer up making use easier and creating a space
to slide the laundry baskets:

by during jobs to hi:
The client now has a
beautiful Florida home to enjoy and entertain in. Sure they’ve left the state
that gave us the first Harley Davidson, the original Barbie, and founded the
Republican Party. But they now can join in the fun of the state that originated
Gatorade, Suntan cream, and the first riding lawn mower! And never have to
shovel snow!
