Mural Creation: ELCHS Part 1: Auditorium
This month began a series of custom murals for East Lee County High School
(http://elc.leeschools.net/ ). They offer  five career academies, as well as, the East Lee Leadership Academy through ROTC ( learn more about the  ROTC programs at www.todaysmilitary.com/ROTC  )
The first mural created was for the school auditorium. The entry walls are painted to look like brick.

The right entry wall is now a “Ticket Booth “. The playbills are titled with the ROTC Leadership words.

The Left stair way entry wall , chosen because it can be viewed upon entering the school doors is now their “ Marquee “ showing the school slogan “ Success Is The Only Option “.

The paints used to create this mural work are Olympic Latex Enamel (  http://www.olympic.com )
Supplied through Lowes (http://www.lowes.com ) God bless Josh and Joel at their paint department for whipping up every color in the rainbow for me.
The “halogen lights” around the marquee are painted in neon acrylics.
The entire set was treated with water based polyurethane by Minwax (see more of their top coat treatments at www.minwax.com ) also supplied through Lowes ( www.lowes.com )
Upcoming: The Library Media Center
