Once Upon a Time
I love fairy-tales!
My mom had purchased a set of Junior Encyclopedias when I was just a toddler.
One of the books in the set was filled with Mother Goose rhymes and all sorts
of delightful versions of fairy-tales. I would drag that book around all day,
waiting for her to read to me. After a few hundred times, she realized she
couldn’t skip any of the words because I had them memorized. For those young
humans who have only been alive since the introduction of the internet, before
your time people used reference books to look up facts and information and
children’s stories. It’s true! And you should ask your parents about something
called the Dewey decimal system…. But back to fairy-tales…. Although time has
changed how children read and view fairy-tales, their love for them has remained.
It is so much fun as a muralist to paint fantasy lands and creatures of dreamy
imagination. So grab your magic carpet, twist the bed-knob, clap your hands,
click your heels three times, scatter pixie dust and believe as we enter
through the secret garden into the magical land of make-believe!
