A Private Garden
Tropical landscaping winds throughout our gated communities here in SW Florida. Sparkling green grass is surrounded by bursts of color from exotic plants. But enter into the courtyard entrance and you enter into a world that is typically dull beige. Its cold, not relaxing, and quite frankly makes you feel imprisoned. I’ve transformed many of these blank canvases into relaxing beaches, the Everglades, tropical tikis, and even Grecian landscapes. But one of the latest requests was for the wall to mimic the landscape on the other side of the wall. The result is exploding in tropical colors. The mural extends onto the lanai floor between the privacy wall and pool edge:
