Impressions of Nature
Nature gives us a
silver lining during this time of Social Distancing & Isolation. The Pre-
Covid 19 world was in a hustle and bustle. Now that we’re all in change of pace
with plenty of time to reflect, we now have the time to take a walk and enjoy
the gorgeous world around us. My husband and I decided to enjoy nature by planting
a garden. It’s a joy each evening to water the fruit trees and watch as the
soil sprouts up new life. As an artist there are stacks of projects always in
need of attention in the work area. Some self- inspired, others commissioned.
And just like our garden, it’s a joy to take part in bringing forth new life. One
of the art pieces requested was a duo of stretched canvas giving the impression
of nature. The set was to flank either side of a flat screen tv in a main
living area and give the impression of trees.:
Each canvas is 16x40 stretched
canvas with a 1.5 inch cradle. Each canvas can also stand alone
as a solo piece:
The canvas are mixed media of various acrylics, paints, inks, gel, and acrylic texture additives. That's part of the joy of working in the art space. All the fun mediums are right at my finger tips.
