Art Walk June 2014….Charcoal,
Pastels, and a blind Raccoon!
We decided to start
the Art Walk evening at the Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center for their juried
art event. A variety of pieces was on display in every medium imaginable from
painting, paper, and found objects.
Artist and CEO of Swan Studios Inc. and David Baker stand in front of a
mixed media on velvet piece by David Meo titled Pompeian Portal.

artists Michael and Lacey Vanyas sketched live in pastels creating whimsical
over sized pieces.
But my favorite part
of the evening was meeting Trouper ! Trouper is a blind raccoon. He was rescued
after a harrowing event and although he is blind and can’t smell, he lives an
incredible life. His caregiver, Miss Dot, dedicates her day to his care and
together they teach respect and protection of wildlife. His story was
chronicled by Kyle L. Miller in “ The
True Adventures of a Blind Raccoon: The Beginning”. You can learn more
about Trouper and his services at : www.TrouperRaccoon.com or join him on Facebook at www.facebook.com/trouper.lee
