People come to South West Florida for our glorious sunshine and fabulous waterways. But both sun and water can create havoc on exteriors of homes over time. So every 5 to 7 years you can have your home pressure cleaned and re-painted, right? But what do you do when you have more than just regular paint on the exterior? ...Call Swan Studios Inc.!!!

The home owner originally had vines crawling over the garage entrance, side arches, and up a lovely exterior stairwell. Painting by Galli handled their cleaning and exterior paint needs ( http://www.manta.com/c/mmcqjvp/painting-by-galli-inc ). I re-created the vines and gave even more fullness. The result………

What a blast we had last night at Shula’s in Naples  www.shulanaples.com ! Of course the hors d’oeuvres were fabulous!

eBella Magazine www.ebellamag.com , founded by Sharon Hood, is the first and only women’s magazine focused solely in gorgeous sunny Southwest Florida. 

The magazine threw a mixer for advertisers and readers as a thank you for their support.

I met artist and stylist Roberto of Roberto of Italy. Several women at the event were sporting his coloring skills. Besides fabulous hair techniques he is also an amazing painter. ( teaser : I’ll be posting his tribute to 911 in another article )

Here it is! After weeks of buzz and teasers Swan Studios Inc. ( www.swanstudio.net )

  is ready to reveal the piece-de-resistance…the Military and Academies Collage wrap mural !

The mural starts 8 ft off the ground and encompasses 3 walls measuring over 135 ft around the center stairwell at East Lee County High School ( elc.leeschools.net )

The project was commissioned by the ROTC. (www.todaysmilitary.com )

This finale piece features each of the academies offered at ELCHS.

 Our military branches are honored:

 Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard.

The top ROTC student is the face model for the military sword salute.

A banner runs along the bottom portion of the mural stating the ROTC leadership values.

The Star Spangled Banner takes center stage

…and is proudly governed by our Bald Eagle.

Jaguars, the school mascot, weaves along each wall section.

This mural and the mural series is truly unique .I am honored to have been chosen as the muralist for such an outstanding project.

The original request was to change their original yellow jag to the new white logo jag.

But all artists know requests are subject to change. So now all old logo versions are out and new logo style is in.

But my favorite part of the evening was meeting Trouper ! Trouper is a blind raccoon. He was rescued after a harrowing event and although he is blind and can’t smell, he lives an incredible life. His caregiver, Miss Dot, dedicates her day to his care and together they teach respect and protection of wildlife. His story was chronicled by Kyle L. Miller in “ The True Adventures of a Blind Raccoon: The Beginning”.
